Importing locations into Maps. Now that Apple Maps offers features closer to those on Google Earth Pro, I'd like to import the locations I already have in the latter into Maps. There are several locations - particularly in Canada - that Maps searches don't yield, particularly when they involve specific lake or mountain names.

GPX is not considered to be one of the easier formats to import into Google Maps and can face difficulties depending on the amount of data moved. Google Maps will convert the GPX file automatically to varying results, hence the mentioned difficulty, or you can choose to pre-convert the file yourself prior to the import.
