The Kinect sensor hardware does not have a physical off switch. To turn the sensor off, go to settings. On Xbox 360 you’ll find those settings in System Settings > Kinect Settings. On Xbox One you’ll find them in Settings > Devices & connections > Kinect. Alternatively, turn Kinect off by unplugging it from your console.
